 Kieran CO #3 & 4 Date/Time: Friday, February 28, 2025 Topic/Skill: Composition (Advanced) Teacher Presentation:  I observed Mr. Flemming's Composition class on Friday, February 28, from 10:50am to 12:30pm. First, Mr. Flemming presented the topic and plan for the day and showed students where to see feedback on their previous assignment. Students were given an assignment to read a long piece of roughly academic level writing and then select some words or phrases that they would like to use in the future. Next, students reviewed feedback from a previous assignment and asked clarifying questions. Afterwards, Mr. Flemming went through the structure of the class, including assignments, attendance, policies, and common problems students have with composition class.  Kieran CO #1 & 2 Date/Time: Friday, February 28, 2025 Topic/Skill: Review of Basic Verb Tenses Teacher Presentation:   I observed Dr. Rios' Grammar class on Friday, February 28 from 9:00am to 10:40am. First, Dr. Rios briefly presented the simple present tense and then asked students to explain aspects of the tense and give examples. After some discussion and group work, students were asked to complete a review activity with a specific time limit. Afterwards, the students presented the sentences they wrote, and Dr. Rios gave feedback. Next, Dr. Rios moved to the simple past tense. Students gave examples of irregular verbs, and Dr. Rios corrected pronunciation errors. Students were provided with a video about Mr. Bean and asked to write 5 sentences about what happened in the story.
